lone boy rat "wilbur"

wilbur is 18 months (or around that) old and is neutered. we have tried for the past 5 months to get him living with rats - old boys, young boys, neutered him and tried with girls. he is not aggressive, but is terrified of them. we aren't sure what sort of past he had, but he was found by someone in a box outside. wilbur is a shy but lovely boy, loves cuddles and boggling / purring while resting on your arm.

we recently took in quite a few rabbits and i thought i'd put them all in the same post.

polly and bella..... came in to the rescue when the owners daughter got bored of them. the girls are both quite skittery, would rather you knelt down to their height and stroked them/spoke to them rather than lifted them. the girls were outside but are now inside (we won't home to anybody planning to keep their pets outdoors).

ben and jerry..... these boys are both neutered and previously fought with other rabbits so were handed in as lone rabbits to the rescue. after being neutered they are happy with eachothers company, and ben is a lovely boy with people as well. jerry would also rather be interacted with on ground level rather than picked up.

lily is a giant rabbit who lives alone. she doesn't like any other rabbits company - but would love to live in your house like a big dog! she is scared of other pets (cats, dogs, even smaller rabbits or guinea pigs) but loves sprawling out on couches and getting rest. she is such a lovely girl and needs a home quite urgently as we have to restrict the space she'd like for now.

we got quite a large group in - 16 boys and 8 girls. luckily only one girl was pregnant and had a small litter (see "big group - rat litter"). they're all black hooded, berkshire, and agouti.

they were all in tiny spaces (tubs and hamster cages) so are really loving the large amount of space they have now. all lovely and no biters.

runkyanimalrescue@googlemail.com

related to the "6 baby boy" mice.

we'd want both girls and the mum to all go together. mum doesn't like being handled and might nibble, but never breaks the skin - does like being spoken to and stroked.

the baby girls are both really friendly, play with your hand and like being lifted up for a kiss and cuddle.

runkyanimalrescue@googlemail.com

we rescued a "family" of rats from a breeding based situation. there are the 2 mums, one has a respiratory infection but is getting treatment and will hopefully improve (but you will have to be aware that her lungs may be quite damaged as we are unsure how long she's been left untreated for ). the other mum is in good health. they are a PEW and a berkshire.

there is the dad, 'cheese', who will be placed with his 2 baby boys and homed with them.

there was a total of 5 babies, the pair of baby boys (we will be homed with their dad ) and also a trio of baby girls, who could be homed with their mums (but they would need to be introduced first, which we haven't done) or could be homed as a group. they won't be split up at all though.

as members probably know "BessieTheRat" has started her rescue "Bessies' Rat Rescue". we recently took in *lots* of rat girls and she has kindly taken in all of the grils under 6 months. i've posted this here as she hasn't got her website done up properly yet, and doesn't want to post this on the general homing section - and it will get noticed more here.

they are in a mixture of trios, and groups of 4s and 5s but no bigger than that. she is socialising them currently but they are generally friendly girls and love to play.

there are around 16 of them and they all need homes. they won't be split.
